This is the information that the rogue knows and is willing to share:Ranks: (lowest first)
Structure Each city contains at least three members of the guild, with at least one member of Executioner or Assassin rank. The ranking member will be visited by the Speaker when a contract is to be completed. It is up to the ranking member to decide which of his/her subordinates (if any) has the necessary skills to complete the contract. The Speaker reports directly to the council of Patriarchs/Matriarchs when summoned. When not doing the bidding of the council, the Speaker is free to do as he/she pleases. Enders are the Special Ops, and often operate in teams of 3-5 to complete contacts deemed beyond the capabilities of the lower ranks. An Ender bypasses the Speaker when it comes to contracts, getting them directly from the Patriarchs/Matriarchs. It is believed that Enders are not governed by the council and have, in the past, eliminated council members that they deem to be corrupt, incompetent, or have endangered the guild. They therefore act on their own accord, staying at any Guild House. Some have supposedly constructed their own lodgings.
1There is a rank called Ender, which is a title a select few among the guild have to represent their superior skill.
Guild Houses & Joining It is believed that there are guild houses in each city. Entrance into the Assassin’s Guild is only possible by ascending through the ranks of the Thieves Guild or through the special invitation of the Speaker.
Opening A Contract To open a contract, a person must place in a pouch a note with their name, the name of the one to be slain, and some valuables. The pouch is tied to a dagger hilt and at dusk the dagger is to be jammed into an above-ground window frame. Sometime during the night the pouch will be taken, and (if the contract is accepted) the next night a representative will arrive and discuss the details of the contract.
